URKIDE BIDEAN<\/strong>\u00a0is the name we have given to educational innovation in our school. The idea\u00a0came from a professional reflection that took place during the 2015-2016 academic year<\/strong>.\u00a0At that time, we, the teachers, asked ourselves some basic questions about our work (what we do, for whom, why, what for…) and agreed on a single exit profile for the school. In other words, we tried to reconfigure the pedagogical bases of the centre and draw a portrait of the people we want to achieve with our educational action, made up of these characteristics:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At\u00a0<\/strong>URKIDE<\/strong>\u00a0we look for the best methodologies that adapt to the different stages of our students. In this search we have found some methods that we have implemented and others that we have created in the Centre itself.

In the two-year<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>stage<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>we base our pedagogy on the\u00a0<\/span>Autonomous Movement<\/span><\/strong>. We create a place where students can move freely through the different spaces offering them multiple experiences. Space becomes the protagonist, encouraging physical movement and multiplying social interactions, which help them to acquire fundamental skills in their development.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the Pre-school classrooms, we approach\u00a0<\/strong>written language using<\/strong> our own methodology based on a constructivist approach<\/strong>.\u00a0We propose challenges that lead them to question and reflect, creating hypotheses that make them move forward. We respect their pace, accompanying them and giving them the necessary time in this long learning process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the Singapore method, the student is the protagonist, developing critical thinking and working\u00a0<\/span>from the concrete to the abstract through the pictorial<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>Using a wide variety of strategies, mathematical understanding is achieved through problem solving. In addition to mathematical understanding, skills such as creativity, teamwork, leadership and communication are enhanced.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pictowriting\u00a0<\/span>is an inclusive method to encourage creative thinking<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>It uses drawing as a key tool in the students\u2019 reading and writing process<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span>
\nWe work on the Spanish and Basque language curriculum from 1st to 3rd grade following a personalised itinerary for each pupil.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pupils in 4th, 5th and 6th grades of Primary Education work for a term on the Spanish Language in the Dramagela<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>A place focused on the acquisition and improvement of basic communication skills:\u00a0<\/span>listening, speaking, reading and writing.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>A space for expression and communication where students get to know and explore their expressive capacity and where progress in the knowledge of the language is focused on the development of their communicative capacity using the artistic resources offered by the theatre (body, voice, light, sound…).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Project-based learning is a methodological strategy in which students work actively and collaboratively to achieve objectives, normally of an interdisciplinary nature and associated with the generation of a specific product. At URKIDE we have been applying this methodology in all our stages since 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cooperative Learning is a methodological tool present in all stages of URKIDE. Basically, it consists of getting the most out of teamwork through various structures, applicable both to improving coexistence in the classroom and to the acquisition of cognitive skills. The composition of the groups responds to the psychological and intellectual complementarity of their members. In this way, interpersonal relationships and mutual learning are fostered. CL is compatible with different methodologies (Singapore, PBL, own methods…).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
