ON SITE COOKING

URKIDE has a modern kitchen, equipped with the latest technology, where food is cooked daily in the centre.

dietetics and nutrition team designs the different menus in order to offer a healthy, varied and balanced diet. These are adapted to the specific needs of the pupils, especially those with food allergies and/or intolerances. Always under medical prescription.

We serve more than 400 meals a day with a healthy recipe book, including a variety of fruit and vegetables from leading brands.

Three shifts for students:

First shift 1: Pre-school and Primary Education at 13:00 h.
Second shift 2: Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training from 14:30 h.
Third shift 3: Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Training Cycle from 15:30 h.
The fee for the academic year 2024/25 will be 8,47€/day.

To guarantee the quality and safety of the meals prepared, a self-monitoring system based on HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is in place. System led by a Food Hygiene and Safety Technician and by the Head Chef.

ANNUAL AUDIT

An annual Internal Health Audit of the system is carried out, which concludes with a microbiological verification of both the handling surfaces and/or tools used and the meals prepared, and despite the excellent results obtained to date, the HACCP team proposes new improvement actions every year, seeking excellence in both the quality and safety of the meals prepared.
