MISSION

1.- INTEGRATIVE COOPERATIVE

URKIDE School is an educational centre located in Vitoria-Gasteiz and in the Basque society and open to the world. It is promoted by an associated worker cooperative declared of public utility and non-profit-making.

Our activity covers from the age of two up to Baccalaureate and a Higher-Level Training Cycle.

We form an educational community open to all, that integrates the diversity of people and life projects. We create a pleasant and cooperative atmosphere that enables closeness with students and families and the participation of the entire educational community in our project.

2.- EDUCATING FOR PROGRESS

We have our own innovative and flexible educational project which is constantly evolving to adapt to social and educational changes. It seeks a balance between academic training, values and tools for the transformation of society.

3.- EVERY PERSON A CHALLENGE

Students are the axis around which the educational action of the whole community is articulated. Our intention is to discover and promote the talents of each person, taking into account their characteristics and their learning pace (Urkide Bidean).

We give special importance to the tutoring action (zutoretza), to emotional accompaniment and to the creation of a safe and stimulating environment for everyone.

4.- WATER: A TEAM OF TEAMS

Our management is agile, flexible, simple and efficient. It relies on creative and independent, but interrelated, teams in the educational work and is based on continuous improvement.

We work to achieve good results in terms of people satisfaction, management and educational objectives.

VISION

At Urkide we aim at consolidating our position as a reference centre working to:

1.- Transform our Educational Project with a dynamic and innovative pedagogy focused on our model of person (Urkide Bidean) and with an agreed, flexible and modern tutorial action.

2.- Make the students the protagonists of their learning, actively participating in the life of the school and developing the best version of themselves in order to transform society, without forgetting their roots.

3.- Have a staff committed to the school and its Educational Project, who will contribute their professional creativity in all the teams in which they participate in order to achieve the proposed objectives and collaborate in the achievement of Urkide Bidean.

4.- Achieve the greatest possible involvement and participation of the whole educational community in the life of the school by fostering a good emotional relationship between everyone based on mutual respect, enthusiasm, positivity, good mood and closeness.

5.- Consolidate our simple, creative, transparent and honest management. This management will be based on continuous improvement and constant innovation and will promote partnerships with organisations of all kinds that enrich our project.
