COMPULSORY SECONDARY EDUCATION (ESO)

Compulsory Secondary Education is the stage corresponding to the developmental period
between the ages of 12 and 16. A time of great changes in people (physical, emotional, cognitive and social) and educational opportunities.

Feeling, thinking, doing: learning in three verbs.
The emotional self-regulation, the development of good logical-critical thinking and the application of working methods
that include enquiry and discovery are ideal competence goals for adolescence.
URKIDE’s pedagogy and
tutorial action in ESO is oriented towards them.

ESO EDUCATIONAL OFFER

Trilingual teaching throughout the whole stage (CLIL methodology).

Individualised treatment of diversity in learning:
1.- Attention to specific educational support needs (SESN) with intervention and supervision of specialised staff: special educational needs, specific learning difficulties, high intellectual abilities and other personal conditions or school history.
2.- SERP (Specific Educational Reinforcement Project).
3.- Educational reinforcement in core subjects, with small groups.

Programme of exchanges and stays in France, Germany, the United States and Ireland.

Preparation for official qualifications
at various levels and languages. Cambridge qualifications in English: Preliminary, First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency.
Basque language qualifications: levels B2 and C1.

1st, 2nd and 3rd grade of ESO
30 teaching hours in the morning,
from 8:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

4th grade of ESO
31 teaching hours in the morning,
with the following weekly schedule:
Monday:
8:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday:
8:00 a.m.- 2:20 p.m.
